Junior Syndicate News Term 2 No 2 2010


Welcome to our Web Page and News!

We may be the smallest people in the school, but we think we have the biggest smiles!
We have 7  fantastic classrooms, with 9 fantastic teachers.

Our Year 1 classes are:
Room 10 with Miss Pennell
Room 11 with Mrs Andrew
Room 12 with Mrs Oats
Room 13 with Mrs Reynolds
Room 14 with Mrs Marshall and Mrs Martin
We have 4 Year 2 classes:
Room 7 with Mrs Young
Room 8 with Miss Wight
and Ms Crook
Room 9 with Miss Edgar

We love to learn, and we have such fun at school each day.

Recounts of Our Trip To Devonport!

First we went to the ferry building and we went on the ferry to Devonport.
Then we went to the beach. We made sandcastles
Then we went to the library.
Then we went to the park.
Then we went sketching.
Finally we went on the bus back to school.
I think Auckland is awesome.

We went to Devonport.
First we went on a bus. Then we caught a ferry to Devonport.
Next we went to the beach and had morning tea at the beach. Then we made sandcastles.
We went to the library. Then a lady read us a story.
Then we went to the park. We had lunch - fish and chips. Next a little play.
After that we went on the bus to school over the Harbour Bridge.
I think Auckland is awesome.

We went to Devonport on Wednesday.
We got on the bus to the ferry and we got to Devonport.
We walked to the beach and we had an apple.
After we went to the library and the lady read us a story.
After we went to have fish and chips and we had a play on the grass. We did some sketching looking back at the sky scrapers and the Sky Tower.
We went back on the bus over the Harbour Bridge back to school.
I like going back to school on the ferry. The bus driver was crazy.

Room 10 went to Devonport with the Junior Syndicate to learn about our IBL topic - Awesome Auckland. Here is some fantastic writing from our trip.

Yesterday we went on a school trip. We got on the bus. Next we hopped on a ferry. We went to Devonport and we had morning tea. Finally we got back to school. What an awesome day!

You should go to Devonport because it is fun. You can get there on a ferry. The grown ups cost $10 and it is $5 for kids.

You should go to Devonport. At Devonport you should have fish and chips on the beach or go to the library. You can catch a ferry to get there. It will cost $10 for adults and $5 for kids. So go to Devonport please! It is a great view from there.
