We have a wonderful library at Victoria Avenue School which the children are encouraged to visit at any time during the school day, especially before school and at lunchtime.
We have created an attractive and inviting atmosphere to foster the children’s interest in books and encourage them to read for pleasure.
The school recently purchased a new web-based library management system called Access-it. This programme is very user-friendly, meaning the children can search the library catalogue from any computer in the school, and check items they have on loan from the library. The children are also able to access pdf files relevant to their class topic from their home computer for home learning/study purposes.
We invite you to visit the library to view the fantastic art displayed on the walls. The children take great pride in seeing their beautiful artwork exhibited in the library.
