Due to popular demand the Ukulele group will be starting up again in Term 2. All children need their own ukulele ($40 - 50 at music shops such as KBB and Mainline Music) and there will be a fee to cover the cost of the music, bus trips and registration for the Ukulele Festival. This should be around $25 - 30, but is dependent on how many children are involved. The Festival will take place at the Trusts Stadium in Henderson (same as last year) on Saturday 26 November.
The group is open for children from Year 2 - Year 6.

Each class has Music for two terms in the year. Over time, all the elements are looked at: beat, rhythm, pitch, tempo, dynamics, timbre, texture, form, harmony, style and mood. This is done through singing, playing, listening, creating and representing. All with the underlying philosophy that we are there to enjoy making music together.

The choir performs for the following events:
- School Concert Thursday 8 September 2011 at 7.00pm
- As part of the the school Carol Service on 2 December
- As part of other school events and assemblies as opportunities arise.

Two professional music companies, KBB Music and 4Front School of Guitar offer music lessons at our school. These are held during school time, this year on a Friday. The music students are tutored in woodwind and guitar groups with Stephen or Sean. They also run a lunchtime orchestra comprising of all their current students.
